Repairs may be required when breakage occurs, when one or more teeth need to be added to an existing denture, or because of wear and tear. Often denture teeth and clasps can be added to existing partial dentures when natural teeth are lost. Never try to repair or alter your dentures because it may cause irritation due to the poor fit and the repair will not last long. A proper repair requires the addition of new denture material to the repair site and may also require another impression. Most repairs can be done in one day. If your denture requires a repair it may be an indication that the denture is worn or ill-fitting.
